Chicago Wine School's Varietal 5 week wine course

This Intermediate course takes up where # 1 left off, the "basics" having been covered. It will focus on the more than 2 dozen grape varieties which are distinct enough to produce interesting wines. $210.00 per person.
CLASS 1: "Crisp & Light Whites"- Sauvignon blanc, Sémillon, Melon, Cortese, Grüner Veltliner and Viura.
CLASS 2: "Perfumed & Gutsy Reds"- Pinot noir & Gamay plus Syrah, Petite Sirah, Nebbiolo, Grenache & Barbera.
CLASS 3: "Fruity/Floral Whites"- White Riesling, Chenin blanc, Muscat, Gewürztraminer and others.
CLASS 4: "Clarety Reds"- Cabernet (Sauvignon & franc), Merlot, Malbec, Zinfandel, Sangiovese and Tempranillo.
CLASS 5: "Classic Dry Whites" - Chardonnay, Pinots blanc & gris, Aligoté, Viognier, Marsanne & Roussanne.
The "Varietals" begins Thursday, July 16th at 5:30 PM and run through Thursday, August 13th each session lasting approximately 90 minutes. This course will take place at Boardman's (455 N City Front Plaza in the NBC Tower building) There is street and discounted lot parking.
