EVENT DETAILS:

SCOTFEST 2009 – SOMETHING TO CELEBRATE

A One Day Festival Celebrating Food & Drink Producers and Designers based in Scotland

ScotFest is opening its doors to visitors on Sunday 20th of September at Cochrane Park in Alva.

Our Main Sponsors, Glengoyne Distillery, take centre stage in the Glengoyne Tent.   In addition to hosting tastings throughout the day and inviting you to sample their award winning malt whisky they have also invited Tom Lewis of multi-award winning Monachyle Mhor hotel to provide demonstrations on how to cook with Glengoyne Whisky – Not to be missed!

We have our very own inflatable pub featuring Scottish Ales and providing a true Scottish Welcome.

Saunter through the fully covered tented village and meet our Food and Drink exhibitors who invite you to sample their delicious goods for yourselves – a dream for any foodie!  Visit the Arts and Craft exhibitors who will happily discuss their design methods and inspirations and will have a selection of truly unique goods on show for you to enjoy and buy – perfect for early Christmas Shopping!

For updates on who is exhibiting please visit www.scotfest.co.uk which is updated regularly.

Outside in the Park, we have more treats in store ranging from  Arbroath Smokies to a traditional Hog Roast.

Entertainment is provided throughout the day with pipes and drums, falconry and e even have our very own ScotFest Town Crier!

We haven’t forgotten the Kid’s – quite the opposite, with a dedicated indoors Kid’s Zone there is everything from face painting, to crafts and a completely weather proof bouncy castle!  While your little ones are enthralled in the Kid’s Zone activities why not enjoy a freshly brewed coffee and home-baked cake from our ScotFest Cafe.   Half of the proceeds from the Cafe are to be donated to CHAS (Children’s Hospice Association Scotland)

The toughest job is yours – just what should you buy and how much can you carry home
