Sparkling wines are perfect summer drinking being crisp and refreshing so at this tasting we will look in depth at the Champagne region and the various styles of sparkling wine from around the world of which we are so fond. Did you know that Pinot Noir is one of the three grape varieties in champagne? What is a blanc de blanc or a vintage champagne and how is a rose made? We will taste examples of all these to demonstrate the diversity of the sparkling wines.
