The Englishman's charm and playfulness comes through in his music, giving his style of smooth jazz a liveliness that others in the genre lack. Pop-inspired saxophonist Mindi Abair has attracted many new, young listeners to the genre, with her heavy emphasis on the sounds of R&B and dance music as well as pop and rock.
