Are you a sushi lover? Have you always wondered what the trick is to rolling makis or picking the right fish? Or having the knife skills to prepare the fish and slice the rolls with precision (rather than eating them like subs ;-)? How about cooking the sushi rice juuust right. Well, it's your lucky day. Chef Chris Chung will be demystifying these culinary techniques and more, so that you can create your own sushi at home! It's cheaper anyway and WAY more fun :-) The class will include 4 or 5 different items you can make and then eat! We'll also have a couple sakes to enjoy with the sushi.

Born in Honolulu, Hawaii, Chef Chris moved to Macao at the age of 3, where he was exposed to an eclectic mix of eastern and western cuisine. His interest in culinary arts sparked at the young age of 8 years old.

Now 33 years old, Chef Chris has a very impressive resume of working in numerous world-renowned restaurants as Sous Chef, Executive Chef, Sushi Chef, restaurant consultant, among other positions. Perhaps his most locally notable stints have been at Oishii/Oishii 2, UNI, and Jae's Cafe.

Chef Chris is currently taking a break from the rigors of restaurant work and working as a private chef, and pursuing his lifelong goal of opening his own restaurant.
