Wine Down Main Street is the best night out all year and Franklin's Premier Wine Tasting Event.  Now in it's 9th year, it was voted 1st Place Winner as the Best Fundraiser/Charity Event in Williamson County.  Wine Down Main Street is a unique wine tasting that takes place along Historic Main Street in Franklin, Tennessee.  Just 20 miles south of Nashville, more than 40 shops play host to wines from around the world.  Participants receive a booklet listing the wines and descriptions and a commemorative wine glass.  Back by popular demand, a premium tasting room will be pouring specially selected wines for an additional fee.  Begin your journey at any store and bring your shopping list!  Taste wines, shop, sample food from area restaurants, listen to music from many live acts and enjoy your Wine Down Main Street all for a good cause. 

In addition to hundreds of wine selections available for tasting, organizers have announced a new "High Gravity Beer Section" that will be located at Landmark Booksellers and Cadence Bank during the event. There will be approximately 15 - 20 High Gravity Beers to taste, including brands such as: Stone, Dogfish Head, Rogue, Ommegang, Duval and more.

High Gravity beer simply means specialty craft beers with an increased weight of sugar and gravity "pull" in the fermentation process. They are higher in alcohol because they contain more sugar and other ingredients at the start of the brewing process as brewers try to create complex, flavorful and unique beers. High gravity beers are meant to be sipped and appreciated, even paired with foods like wine.

General Admission tickets are $85 per person and include  wine, beer and food tastings.   All proceeds benefit the Boys & Girls Club of Franklin/Williamson County.
