In its fifth year, the Fall Wine Cornucopia pairs all of the wineries of the San Joaquin Valley with food delicacies grown and produced in Valley fields and orchards, together with exhibits of local artists, music and more. As a regional celebration, producers from Stockton to Bakersfield invite people from throughout California to rediscover California’s agricultural heritage.
The event will be held at Chukchansi Park on October 25th, 2009 from 2pm to 6pm.
Some highlights of the 2008 Fall Wine Cornucopia: Grape Stomp: Your chance to jump on grapes – just like in the movies! Cooking Demonstrations: Chef Vatche from Cracked Pepper Bistro and Chris Shackelford from Trelio Restaurant did cooking demonstrations on the hour, culminating with an IRON CHEF VALLEY competition. Cigar and Port Area! Live Music by “Top of the Mark”! Award Winning San Joaquin Valley Wines! Over 30 Local Artists! Gourmet Foodstuffs featuring the Growers who bring their harvest to our tables! Shopping – for those of you who like that sort of thing! Tickets are $35 in advance or $40 at the door. Price includes all food and wine tasting, and 25 oz commemorative glass.
Designated Driver Program: show up to the gate, and receive a special $15 ticket as our way to say thank you for keeping the streets of our Valley safe for everyone.
