Wine OR Wine & Food Event

Wine OR Wine & Food

Join us for a Spanish wines and Tapas night. Meet Laura Swift from Casa Ventura Importers. Casa Ventura’s mission is to look for fine wines in Spain and bring them to the United States. This involves a number of activities: finding wineries is a big task, because not only the wine must be excellent, also the winery’s philosophy must be based on non aggressive agricultural and viticultural methods; they also must reflect the traditional wine making methods of their region, especially by using the traditional native varieties and wine making processes. Other activities that at Casa Ventura we find very important are advising wine-makers about blends and wine-making methods, designing and branding of labels that accurately describe the wines we import and the regions that produce them, etc.

Historically, Spain is in its finest moment with regard to wine-making. This is because Spain has developed modern wine-making concepts, vineyard techniques, and facilities, while preserving the essence of their traditional regions and grapes. At Casa Ventura we want to be part of this “revolution” by selling fine Spanish wines in America. We believe in the soils of Spain, an old vine land that has been producing wine for more than 2,500 years. For the Romans, Hispania was extremely precious. In fact, some of the wines currently produced in Spain were already valuable in Roman times. Casa Ventura Imports is one man’s dream and determination: a dream to find the best Spanish wines, and the determination to bring them to America
