You hear folks talking about Old World Wines. Others discuss New World Wines. Passionate debates about which wines are superior. What does all of that mean?
One could say that it’s just a matter of Geography. Old World Wines come from places like France and Italy. New World wines come from places like the U.S.A. or Australia. That doesn’t really explain it away now, does it?
It’s really about philosophy! We kid you not – it’s really about Winemaking Philosophy. We’ll discuss the differences. But more importantly, we will “Taste the Differences !”
Format is an informal classroom setting with Pete Hanowich leading the tasting and discussions. Dress is Casual.
We will pair them off and taste them all. Old vs. New. When we’re done with this Seminar, you’ll know exactly what is mean’t when the terms “Old World” and “New World” are discussed. Both from Philosophy, but more importantly, from Taste!!
Wines, Cheese and baguettes included.
Cost for all seminars is $50.00 per person |
