A fun relaxed wine course for beginners. Learn about the world's classic grapes and wine styles in a lively interactive atmosphere. Learn how to put words to wine, match food and wine and hear about the best producers in the Old World and New World. Powerpoint visuals illustrate the world's vineyards. This is the only beginners course run by a qualified Master of Wine in Scotland.
This four evening course entitled 'Enjoying wine series' (Thursdays 3, 10, 17, 24 Sept 2009) is held at 7.30-9.30pm - with 40 wines to taste. After each session a finger buffet will also be served.
Participants will receive a course file, notes, aroma wheel and completion certificate signed by Rose Murray Brown MW. Tasting glasses, tasting mats, pencils and biscuits also supplied. Session 1 includes tasting techniques, Chardonnay and Sauvignon Blanc Session 2 includes Champagne v sparkling wine & aromatic whites Session 3 includes soft juicy reds and roses Session 4 includes full bodied reds
