The Second Annual Benton County Fair - Eastern Iowa Wine Club Amateur Wine Making Competition will be held on July 22 and 23 at the Benton County Fair Grounds. This event is open to all amateur wine makers. Ribbons will be presented to the top three wines in each category. A Best of Show and Reserve Best of Show will also be award. After the judging, the public will be allowed to sample the entered wines and cast their vote for a People's Choice Award.
Demonstrations on home wine making will be held at various times on Friday and Saturday for those interested in taking up this very interesting hobby.
