This week we're trying a straight-up classic: Merlot. Thank you “Sideways”! That movie maligned merlot enough that this beautiful, elegant wine fell out of fashion and dropped in price undeservedly. Soft, velvety, smooth, and just the right hint of tannin when done right. We will have bottles from Napa Valley, Southern France, Columbia Valley, Bordeaux, and even up-and-coming heavyweight Chile.
