2 Tuesdays, August 5 and 12: Know the wines of Washington State! In this 6-hour course, taught by longtime Auction of Washington Wines Guest Sommelier Dieter Schafer, learn by tasting wines from all Washington viticultural areas: Yakima Valley, Columbia Valley, Walla Walla Valley, Puget Sound, Red Mountain, Columbia Gorge, Horse Heaven Hills, Wahluke Slope, and Rattlesnake Hills. Course covers fundamentals of winemaking and includes wine buying, serving and enjoying. Recommended Book: Washington Wines and Wineries - The Essential Guide by Paul Gregutt. Tasting each session.
