We're delighted to welcome Dan Petroski of Massican Wines to USQ for an evening of impeccably balanced wine. Petroski is at the forefront of California's revitalized wine scene, and his wines are among the most elegant expressions of their kind in the United States. Focused primarily on the white grapes of Italy's Friuli region, Dan's wines were a revelation when we first tried them years ago. Aromatic, intense, and lithe, these are the kinds of wines that impress with a fine balance of complex flavors, and restraint. Recently, Dan was honored as the 2017 Winemaker of the Year by the San Francisco Chronicle. If you haven't read it, the Chronicle's Esther Mobley details his path to wine in this engaging read - don't miss it.
During his visit, we will be showcasing a trio of wines from Massican, including the 2016 Annia and 2016 Sauvignon. All featured will be discounted for the event, and pouring will last until 8pm.
Admission to this tasting is free, and reservations are not required.
