LDV Unveils 2015 Sky Island Viognier at Open House Tasting Event
For the New Year, LDV Winery owners and winemakers Curt Dunham and Peggy Fiandaca are thrilled to release their latest wine, the 2015 Sky Island Viognier. For the occasion LDV Winery is hosting a complimentary Open House Tasting Event on Sunday, January 14.
Of the new wine release Curt Dunham said, “The 2015 Viognier expresses lemongrass and honeysuckle on the nose while the wine’s flavors hint of pink grapefruit and minerality, which is extremely refreshing and food friendly.” The wine pairs well with salads, poultry, fish and also complements spicy Asian and Indian dishes.
The 2015 Sky Island Viognier is 100 percent from fruit grown at the LDV estate in the Chiricahua Mountain foothills of southeastern Arizona. Aged for 21 months, just 502 cases were produced in stainless steel, which preserves the mountain fruit’s characteristics of the Sky Island region where the grapes are grown at 5,000 feet.
The 2015 Sky Island retails at $18 per bottle. The new release, as well as all LDV wines, will be available for tasting and purchase during the Open House Tasting Event, including light bites, on Sunday, January 14 from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at the LDV Wine Gallery in Old Town Scottsdale, located at 6951 E. 1st Street.
