The famous Grenache based red wines of Châteauneuf-du-Pape, Gigondas, Vacqueyras can vary wildly in style from producer to producer. Even more fascinating is the diversity of style and quality within the basic Côtes-du-Rhône appellation, which can be red, white, or rosé, and can range from a simple bistro wine to a grand vin. We will give you the “cheat sheet” on the Côtes-du-Rhône that drink like a Châteauneuf-du-Pape, wines of different styles from the same appellation, and the best wines from our favorite producers, age-worthy rosé from Tavel, and the rare white Côtes-du-Rhône and Châteauneuf-du-Pape.
