The Yadkin Valley Wine Auction benefits Hugh Chatham Memorial Hospital a non-profit healthcare facility located in Elkin, NC. The auction is the premere event for the Yadkin Valley Wine Festival which is held in Elkin the following day. The event features live and silent auction items such as rare wines, wines of the Yadkin Valley, furniture, craft items, dinners, trips, etc. Heavy hors d'oeuvres and Yadkin Valley wines are included with the purchase of a ticket to the event.
