Queen Makeda - The Crown Jewel of Ethiopian Restaurants in DC!

Join TasteDC for a first of a kind - an authentic Ethiopian cooking class taught from the heart!
All of Queen Makeda's cooking is prepared using traditional Ethiopian methods including homemade
Berbere (the traditional Ethiopian blend of spices), slow stewing methods and always plenty of love!
All dishes at this cooking class will be served with "injera" - the traditional fermented pancake-like
bread made from Teff flour and used instead of utensils to pick up the food and eat. Included in this
demonstration cooking class will be the famous Ethiopian coffee service, a real treat! This cooking
class will amaze both Newbies and experienced DC Foodies who get a hankering for authentic and local.
Queen Makeda is located in the heart of DC's "Little Ethiopia" neighborhood just off 9th and U St., NW
where the best and most authentic Ethiopian restaurants are thriving. Printed recipes are included in
this demonstration cooking class
Lunch will be served after the cooking class - wine is NOT included
in the price.
