| Created in 1949 as a family vineyard in Chile, Vina La Ronciere makes award-winning Classic and Reserva selections sure to please any palate. VINO 100 Valrico is pleased to host a very special tasting event on Friday, September 5th, 5 to 7 PM, featuring the wines of La Ronciere.
Mike and Terry Finerty of Finter Imports will be on hand to showcase a selection of wines from this exceptional winery. Mike is the mayor of St. Pete Beach in addition to his talents in the wine industry. Mike and Terry have a world of knowledge about wines and are delighted to introduce La Ronciere to the Tampa Bay market.
La Ronciere’s vineyards are in Central Chile, where they enjoy an exceptional climate and quality terrior. The Classic selections are intended to highlight the varietal character with fruity wines, while the Reserva range wines are more structured and fuller flavored with a greater use of oak. The Finters will bring a variety of La Ronciere’s wines to the event, and the tasting will include these selections from VINO 100 Valrico:
La Ronciere Reserva Chardonnay 2007, Rapel Valley, Chile – Rich and creamy with hints of vanilla and butterscotch. Fermented on the lees in French oak.
La Ronciere Classic Merlot 2006, Colchagua Valley, Chile – Cinnamon aromas with flavorful hints of coffee and green vegetables on the palate.
La Ronciere Classic Pinot Noir 2007, Colchagua Valley, Chile. Sweet cherry aromas with a touch of spice.
This VERY special event will be held on Friday, September 5th from 5 to 7 PM at VINO 100 Valrico, located at 1038 Bloomingdale Avenue in Valrico, in the Plaza Bella shopping center on the corner of Bloomingdale and Bell Shoals.
VINO 100 Valrico is a unique wine buying concept that features “100 great wines for $25 or less” and arranges wine in the store as they would be set up for a wine tasting event, from light whites to full-bodied reds. Special-themed free wine tasting events open to the public are offered throughout every month.
