Sherry & Tapas: A Perfect Pair???

The above question marks are rhetorical; we are out to prove tonight that sherry in all its variants is not just the best aperitif or after-dinner drink but one that can accompany an entire meal.
David of Bistro Basque wowed us last Fall at a sold-out event showcasing Spanish wines with Spanish cuisine. Tonight he will demonstrate what many Spaniards already know: sherry can indeed be the wine for all courses. You just need to pair properly. Tonight we will incorporate fino, manzanilla,oloroso, amontillado, palo cortado and Pedro Ximenez into our food pairings and you can judge for yourself. Remember that Bistro Basque is miniscule so make your reservations early. Remember: all our events include tax and tip. |
