Certified Specialist of Wine (CSW) Course

The Westchester Wine School’s CSW Course prepares participants for the CSW Exam, given under the auspices of the Society of Wine Educators, the only professional U.S. wine society to provide knowledge-based wine exams and certifications.

The exam covers core principles and fundamentals of wine including viticulture, vinification, grape varieties, wine regions, labeling laws, wine tasting and faults. Passing the exam qualifies one as a Certified Specialist of Wine.

The CSW Course includes,

  • 24 hours of instruction as well as the tasting of 30 wines
  • 250 page CSW Study Guide
  • Access to the On-Line Wine Academy of the Society of Wine Educators
  • Final Exam

The course is for wine enthusiasts and professionals seeking,

· More knowledge and understanding of wine and the wine industry

The course will be given on eight Tuesday evenings starting March 17th and ending May 19th, with the final exam given on Tuesday evening June 2rd. An alternative final exam date will be available if necessary.
