South East England Wine-WineMatters Advanced Wine Appreciation Course

This course builds on the knowledge and tasting skills acquired in the Introductory Wine Appreciation course with a clear focus on developing tasting technique. Students will be able to describe the production methods and organoleptic characteristics of any wine or spirit. Developing effective tasting skills requires considerable practice and more than half the time will be spent tasting high-quality wines and spirits from around the world.

The course fee of £490 includes all wines and the book pack produced by the Wine and Spirit Education Trust for their Advanced Certificate course. Classes will be held on Wednesday evenings for fourteen weeks (with the option to sit the WSET examination in week 15). There will be no sessions on 13 April for Easter Monday.

Michael Palij (Master of Wine) and Karen Hyde (Diploma) are the main tutors.
