Class 4 : Wine regions - Focus Italy

The weekly wine classes will be held at Cafe Saito, 2122 2nd Avenue in downtown Seattle.

A series of seven classes, including wine tastings of at least 6 wines during each class, will be offered for $39 per class or $250 for all 7 classes per person. Advance registration is recommended.

Topics covered throughout the 7 class series will be:

- how to taste wine and describe it

- grape varietals and their characteristics

- history of wine

- basics of the vineyard and of winemaking

- overview of the world's wine regions

- in-depth coverage of Washington, California, Italy, Australia, Spain
