BOKA KITCHEN+BAR declares its independence on Friday, July 4 with a sizzling patio celebration featuring a treat from the outdoor grill from 12 - 6 p.m. Enjoy beef burgers with chips and draft Pabst Blue Ribbon (or Thomas Kemper Root Beer) for only $7. Saturday and Sunday (July 5-6) the celebration shifts to another hot dish: BOKA’s house-smoked and braised ribs with beans, french fries and PBR or root beer, for just $11 from 12 - 6 p.m. Alongside a festive grill-side cookout on its First Avenue patio, BOKA rings in America’s independence with a 4th of July cocktail perfect for this season’s Northwest Cherry bounty: the Cherry Lime Ricky. Fresh cherries are muddled with lime then mixed with Bacardi rum, Kirschwasser, lime sour and a dash of bitters. Apple pie, step aside for this cherry bomb of a cocktail. Drink well, America! $9.
