| Join Arnie Millan for a delightful, fun five course tasting dinner with highly-rated Australian wines from great past vintages. The dinner will be held at Moxie Restaurant on lower Queen Anne on Sunday, May 18 at 6:30 p.m.
Moxie's Chef and co-owner is Lauri Carter. I hired Lauri as a chef at Avenue One where she became Executive Chef. Lauri is extremely talented and I'm delighted to host a dinner at her restaurant. Her partner, Peter Morrison, is also experienced and talented; he, too, worked briefly at Avenue One. So, in a sense, this dinner is a happy reunion!
The wines below are icons of great Australian winemaking. They are big, rich and concentrated and will work well with the menu's bold flavors. They have been perfectly matured and will be doubled-decanted before dinner. Almost all the wines are rated 96 points or higher.
As is now a tradition, we will commence the evening with Champagne. There will be some pleasant surprises as well (i.e. more great wine)!
