One of the stars portrayed in the movie, Gustavo Brambila, was the assistant winemaker at Jim Barrett’s winery in 1976. He was a pioneer in the young California wine industry at that time, and one of his duties was to travel to France to assist in receiving the “Judgment of Paris” winning wine award that was bestowed upon the winery’s Chardonnay. It was an experience that the California and French wine industries would never forget. Twenty years later, Gustavo created his own winery, Gustavo Thrace, located in Napa Valley, California.
Join Awesome Wines for a pre-movie Wine Tasting featuring Gustavo’s current releases at the Fire Sky Resort & Spa, 4925 North Scottsdale Road (Scottsdale & Chaparral), Scottsdale, followed by the first Arizona screening of the movie at the nearby Camelview 5 Theater.
