Sarasota Wine-Vino 100 Bradenton's Vino 101 Class - The Wines of Germany

Learn about the Germany wine hierarchy, based on how ripe the grapes were at harvest, and how to distinguish ripeness categories such as Kabinett, Spatlese, Auslese, Beerenauslese, Trockenbeerenauslese, and everyone’s favorite, Eiswein. The sweetness categories of Trocken and Halbtrocken will also be explored. A look at a few unusual German red wines, Dornfelder and Spatburgunder, will round out the class.

“Vino 101 – The Wines of Germany” will be held on Wednesday, August 27th from 6-7:30pm at VINO 100 Bradenton, 5222 State Road 64 East, Bradenton, in the Bennett Plaza Shopping Center. VINO 100 Bradenton limits the size of Vino 101 classes in order to make the classes interactive. Reservations are required and a 48-hour cancellation policy applies.
