Winter's rains are subsiding, Spring is soon approaching, and it's time to get outdoors and into the sunshine! What could be better than a healthy hike followed by lunch and wine tasting? And what better place to enjoy the outdoors than the incredibly scenic and beautiful Henry Coe State Park? It's amazing to realize that Coe Park includes over 87,000 acres, enough to rank as the largest state park in Northern California. It is also one of the least known. Perhaps that's because of its sheer size. But for most of us who live in the greater Bay Area, here's some "backyard territory" that's definitely worth exploring. Plus, what explorer doesn't want to continue exploring? We'll all take a chance to visit Clos La Chance Winery for lunch and a wine tasting after our hike.
