Event Details
 
Enjoy an evening of outstanding food and wine tasting and sharing, in a highly social and energizing atmosphere. Spiritland pairs a gourmet organic four-course meal with the wine theme of the month, and an industry expert entertains between courses. Our format is unique -- you bring the wine, no corkage! Last month we tasted 40 wines during the evening!

The theme for June is Champagne vs Cava. Each couple (or individual) brings a nice bottle (from France or Spain) to share with everyone else during the first 45 minutes, complemented by the gourmet cheese course. Getting a small taste of 25+ bottles side-by-side is a unique opportunity as well as a great mingling activity.

Then all attendees will be seated at large tables to encourage interaction for the remainder of the meal. Additional bottles may be brought (no corkage) or purchased (10% discount every Wednesday of the month), to share with the table. Many attendees bring a second or even third wine.

We are excited to have Megan McGrath, winemaker for Lucas & Lewellen Vineyards as well as the Mandolina brand to chat with us between courses to give some background on sparking wines and to answer questions. Megan will bring sparkling wine from both those labels, and perhaps sneak in a few other bottles that will pair well to the dinner.

Entree is Seared Scallops with mixed vegetable succotash in coconut curry sauce, with tofu as vegetarian substitution. Seating is limited; advance reservations required. Call 805-966-7759.
