Santa Barbara Wine-Wednesday Wine & Dine at SpiritLand Bistro

The theme for May is Red Zinfandel. Each couple (or individual) brings a nice bottle of wine (no corkage fee) to share with everyone else during the first 45 minutes, complemented by the gourmet cheese course. Getting a small taste of 25+ wines side-by-side is a unique opportunity as well as a great mingling activity.

Then all attendees will be seated at large tables to encourage interaction for the remainder of the meal. Additional bottles may be brought (no corkage) or purchased (10% discount every Wednesday of the month), to share with the table. Many attendees bring a second or even third wine.

Amy Freeman (from Saucelito Canyon, a longtime Zin specialist) will chat with us between courses to give some background on the varietal and answer questions. And of course she will bring some excellent Zins from the winery.

The menu includes a smoked gouda tart, duck breast in Port-Cherry sauce, and an outrageous warm flourless chocolate cake with a sweet beet drizzle. Vegan/vegetarian options available. Seating is limited; advance reservations required. Call 805-966-7759.
