Santa Barbara Wine-Organic Wines from Chile Tasting

There is a worldwide trend toward a greener planet, and growing organically is a big part of it. Much of this movement has been credited tot he principles touted by the late Austrian scientist and philosopher, Rudolf Steiner. In actuality, most if not all wineries were organic and biodynamic until the creation of synthetic chemical fertilizers. Now there is a movement back to what seemed to work very well a couple of generations ago. Emiliana Organico in Chile began converting to organic growing. Today they operate 1700 acres that are certified organic, the largest in Chile.

In Dennis Schafer's wine column in the SB News Press in February, he favorably reviews the Natura wines. We are now into the next vintage of these wines and we will include the Sincerity wines which he did not review. These wines are all very favorably priced and have a small carbon footprint.
