San Francisco Bay Area Wine-Eat Local

Eat Local Month in San Francisco is a volunteer collaboration of the public, private, and non-profit sectors to proactively educate consumers about the economic, environmental, health and flavor benefits of purchasing foods produced or sourced within 250 miles.

From chef demonstrations and free food tastings to seminars in partnership with the Commonwealth Club, Eat Local events are creating a buzz. Over 35 Restaurants will offer daily specials featuring 100% locally sourced ingredients. Stores & Markets will include “Eat Local” signage for featured products and the Eat Local SF website includes lists of Local Food Producers of everything from honey, vegetables and dairy products to pastries, fruit drinks and olive oil.
