hello friends of biondivino~ This Wednesday evening the 16th of July  6 to 8pm our 1st (or is it 2nd?) annual sparkling wine*sparkling design with Natalie Mingura Last year, we thought we'd so something a little different and so far to date, this is the only 'non-winemaker' tasting we have held. I have the great fortune of living next to 3 fantastic girls who are now my dear friends - "(K)Carrie, Kat and Katie". They'll often stop in and will be wearing an catching piece of jewelry and the answer is always "That's my friend Nat -the designer". So that is where and when the idea was born for the annual Sparkling Wine - Sparkling Design tasting. We like to try and keep it interesting around here. Natalie has sold her designs in NY, at the Bellagio in Vegas, Hawaii and throughout California. They are bohemian in design - often made with vintage glass pieces inter-twined with a fresh stylistic clean twist. They are elegant, understated and fun. What better to pair these fresh designs with than... sparkling wines! We'll be sharing a selection from one of my favorite importers,  Dino Capriotti - Vinity Wine Company and one of my all time favorite  producers 'Drusian' Prosecco di Valdobbiadene. (Natalie will be showing many new designs not yet found on her site - you'll be some of the first to see them) _____________ I hope you will be able to join us this Wednesday for some 'bubbles' bangles and bright shiny things (even Frank knows...) salute ~ ceri   ___________________________________________     As you adorn yourself with beautiful sparkles --- you can also endulge in beautiful sparkles... Prosecco that is - we will be pouring a selection of Proseccos this evening for your enjoyment from a family estate in Valdobbiadene - Drusian - and Althe'a (his daughters winery). The Drusian Estate has been producing prosecco for over 3 generations and no pesticides or insecticides are used on the vines and only organic (no chemical) fertilizers are employed. An excellent time to taste how wine aged in Magnum is indeed better... and, for all the single gentlemen, I know it is not Barolo or Brunello this time but --- i think this is where you want to be... a room full of women, prosecco and jewelry?
