| This Father’s Day, Cost Plus World Market has the gift that keeps on giving: pick up a bottle of the 337 Cabernet and take home a vine cutting from the prestigious 337 Bordeaux clone. In keeping with Delicato Family Vineyards and its 337 Wine Cellar’s roles as stewards of the land, Delicato will be sharing a small portion of their vineyards for World Market customers to plant in their own backyards.
Julie Joy, Cost Plus World Market’s senior national wine buyer says, “World Market is known for unique gift offerings and what’s more unique than giving a bottle of wine and the vine clone from which it was produced? On June 7 in six of our Bay Area stores, we’ll be giving away a limited number of the 337 vine cutting with the purchase of the 337 Cabernet Sauvignon.”
Customers are invited to stop by the San Francisco, Marin, Mountain View, Davis, Walnut Creek and Pleasanton World Market store locations on Saturday, June 7 from 1:00 – 3:00 p.m. to learn about the 337 Cabernet Sauvignon, pick up a bottle of the wine and receive a vine cutting for themselves or for the dad in their lives. Stop by early as vine cuttings will be given away only while supplies last.
For years this vine was producing some of Bordeaux’s finest wines. Several years later a cutting from the clone was planted here and a Lodi winery began producing 337 Cabernet Sauvignon. Named for the French vine clone with a rich history, 337 wine is an alluring expression of a California Cabernet Sauvignon with Bordeaux roots. The vines are cultivated for structure and flavor in the cobblestones of Lodi’s Clay Station Vineyard.
337 Wine Cellars adhere to the Lodi Rules Program of Sustainability set forth by the Lodi-Woodbridge Winegrape Commission. The Lodi Rules Program has two components: sustainable winegrowing practices standards and a Pesticide Environmental Assessment System that measures the environmental impact of all pesticides, organic and synthetic, used in a vineyard during the year. |
