San Francisco Bay Area Wine-The Golden Glass by Slow Food SF

This lively event will highlight sustainable & ‘slow’ wines from around the globe, paired with savory delights from Bay Area chefs and artisanal food producers. Previously an exclusive Italian wine event, The Golden Glass expands in 2008 to include wines from Spain, Greece, South Africa, Australia, and New Zealand, amongst others. With over 100 wine producers and more than 30 food purveyors, there will be plenty to enjoy!

Proceeds from The Golden Glass fundraising event will benefit the new Slow Food San Francisco School Garden Project and Slow Food USA’s ‘Art of Taste’ program.

This year's event is also proud to present a host of winemaker dinners as well as two wine seminars. Open to press, trade & general public pending space available.

Winemaker dinners begin June 5th and continue each night until Monday, June 9th. Participating restarants include The Fifth Floor, Acquerello, Farina, Perbacco and South Food + Wine Bar.

Wine Seminars will be hosted by the Gusto Piemonte Consortium (Noon to 12:45pm) and David Strada of the New Zealand Winegrowers Association (1 to 1:45pm).
