| South African wines are no longer a novelty yet they seem to retain a curiosity for most wine drinkers. While it is considered part of the ‘new world,’ wine has been made for over 400 years in this far away land. Since Apartheid was lifted and South Africa has made huge political strides, the wines are not only more accepted on the international scene but have gotten way better. This flight will sample some of the South African gems (no pun intended) and give a good preview of what is to come. |
