"And if you see the flames Dancing around the hills Come and join us by the fire, Let the empire exist!"
Please join us by the fire with a glass of wine for a poetry evening of a local writer, Karo Caran. Ealish Wilson will read some of the poems while Victor Tsaran will turn some poems into lyrics of his melodic and quiet guitar tunes. Karo will talk about the circumstances in which the poems were born and matured. Karo admires art and artists (she’s now working on a dissertation about them), and is fascinated by anthropology, culture, psychology, and literature. She is now looking for a publisher of her first book entitled “Honey, Lolita, and other stories: A celebration of arts and reflections.” All these themes have merged and emerged in her poetry. To read some of the poems, please visit her blog, www.marzipanweb.com, and click on “Marzipan Witch’s Blog.”
