Though its post-Prohibition wine industry is barely 50 years old, Oregon has established itself on the international stage with elegant wines produced with Pinot Noir and Pinot Gris, as well as other noble varieties. These wines benefit from a moderate climate plus rich volcanic soils, yielding structured wines with fresh fruit flavours and bright acidity. Wine student and Oregon expert Denise Eisner will highlight wines made in several of Oregon's six American Viticultural Areas (AVAs) with a multi-course menu paired with six wines.
