As part of the resort's commitment to Slow Food Orlando, Gaylord Palms is holding its second “Slow Down O-Town” Slow Food & Wine Dinner, a showcase event to spotlight the world-wide Slow Food movement. The dinner will be hosted by Old Hickory Executive Chef Paul Player and Michael Honig, president of Honig Vineyard & Winery of Napa Valley.

Each course will be introduced by Chef Paul and paired with an appropriate wine by Honig, who will also share details about the vineyard’s industry-leading sustainability practices. The Slow Food movement is a global grassroots effort with thousands of members around the world who links the pleasure of food with a commitment to community and the environment.

A portion of the proceeds from this evening's event will go to support Slow Food Orlando.

At Old Hickory Steakhouse, you'll find a serious menu in the tradition of the best world-renowned steakhouses. Inside, guests congregate over retro cocktails and enjoy the highest quality Premium Black Angus aged cuts.

Old Hickory Steakhouse offers a seductive selection of handcrafted cheeses and an extensive wine list which Wine Spectator magazine has honored with an "Award of Excellence" for composition and depth of collection.

The Old Hickory lounge is open daily from 4:30pm until 11:30pm, while dinner is served nightly from 5:30pm until 10 pm.

Old Hickory Steakhouse restaurant is located in the Everglades atrium inside Gaylord Palms Resort & Convention Center. Business-casual attire is requested.
