Anyone who visits the Lab regularly, and chatted with ChrisAnn and myself, know we love blends. It's one thing to coax a great wine from a single varietal, but I think a more creative thing is to blend multiple varietals into music. On Wednesday and Thursday we will feature blends on the tasting flight. Come join us and discover some new beautiful friends. Start off with your choice of white wine (blends too) and then on to.... Atrea Old Soul Red - 37% zinfandel, 36% syrah, 16% malbec and 11% petite sirah - Tanzer 90 pts. Orin Swift The Prisoner - It's a phenomenon - 51% Zin, 23% Cab Sauv, 12% Syrah, 6% Petit Sirah, 6% Charbono, 2% Grenache Opolo Fusion - Cab/Syrah blends are hit or miss for most producers but this one hits big Vina Robles Signature Red - 72% Petit Verdot, 28% Syrah - Deep, full bodied, beautiful.
