Northern Virginia Wine-Cooking Class: French Bistro Classics for Bastille Day

We'll learn how to prepare some much-loved dishes, including: Gratin au Montrachet (cheese gratin with tomatoes and nicoise); La Creme d'Lentiles en Gazpacho a la Menthe (chilled lentil and mint soup); Pommes a l'Huile (potatoes in herb vinaigrette); Poulet Mistrale (chicken with garlic and white wine); and Un Dessert Tricolore (dessert with 3-colored berries). About the instructor: Our chef for these classes always receives rave reviews from our members. She is a graduate of U.C. Berkeley and has worked in restaurants and catering in D.C. and Northern Virginia. For the last 15 years, she has taught a wide range of cooking classes. She has traveled widely -- sampling great food along the way -- and enjoys sharing recipes and good food, as well as trading travel stories with our membership.
