Northern Virginia Wine-French Wines Discovery: Rhone Valley Wine Class

The Rhone Valley is home to a wonderful diversity of wines.

Northern Rhone hosts the world’s top Syrah-based wines (Hermitage, Cotes Roties) and Viognier wines (Condrieu, Chateau Grillet).

Southern Rhone is home to a variety of very fragrant grapes such as:

Grenache, Mourvedre, Cinsault, or Carignan for Reds and Marsanne, Roussane, or Muscat for Whites.

We will taste great wines from appellations such as
Vacqqueyras, Lirac, Chateauneuf du Pape (up to 13 different grapes blended), Tavel (for Rose) or Muscat Beaume de Venise.

The class includes a tasting of 6 wines, cheese and crackers during the tasting.
