The Charmer Sunbelt Group, one of the nations leading distributors of fine wines and spirits, is hosting the First Annual Wine Tasting & Auction on March 25, 2004, 7-10:00 pm at The Lighthouse of Chelsea Piers in New York City to benefit the Make-A-Wish Foundation of Metro New York. The mission of the Make-A-Wish Foundation is to grant the wishes of children with life-threatening medical conditions to enrich the human experience with strength, hope, and joy.
Those individuals who become sponsors of the event will be greeted with a Perrier-Jouët Fleur de Champagne Rosé Reception followed by a tasting of the five First Growth 2000 vintage wines of Bordeaux: Lafite-Rothschild, Mouton-Rothschild, Latour, Margaux and Haut-Brion.
During the event, our other attendees will be able to sample top notch wines from around the world like Rosemount Balmoral, Castello Banfi Summus, Henri Boillot Chevalier-Montrachet, Don Melchor Cabernet Sauvignon, Hess Collection Chardonnay, Wolf Blass Presidents Shiraz, Mumm, Fonterutoli, Castello Volpaia, William Hill, Clos du Bois, Chateau Trimoulet, Cosentino, Robert Mondavi and many more! In addition guests will enjoy gastronomic delights from Abigail Kirsch, Ruby Foo’s, Noche, Central Park Boathouse -just to name a few of the restaurants and caterers involved that evening.
There will also be a Silent and a Live Auction that will include great wines like Hess Collection Cabernet, Beringer Private Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon, a Penfolds Grange Shiraz Sampler, a "Tre Bichieri" Tuscan Wine Collection, a three vintage vertical collection of B.R.Cohn Olive Hill Cabernet Sauvignon as well as magnums and large format bottles of numerous wines. Also to be auctioned off will be some very exclusive packages like weekend stays at The Pierre, Ritz-Carlton, and NY Sheraton, a foursome at Deepdale Country Club, a VIP travel package for two called "Wine, Food and the Arts in Napa Valley" which includes airfare and lodgings.
This will truly be a great wine event to attend. Sample the wines, have fun bidding on great wines and packages and support all those Make-A-Wish kids.
Tickets are $150 in advance, $200 at the door.
