This vintage was one of the largest crops of all time throughout Bordeaux. Both the left and right banks produced exceptional wines. The extremely hot summer resulting in big, ripe, and fleshy wines, which were immediately appealing. Because of the low acid levels and ripeness of fruit, these wines are stunning now, but also will have a great future ahead of them, buttressed with intense tannins. They seem to be packing on more density and weight as they mature. Join us for this blind, fifteen year retrospective of one of the 20th Century's greatest vintages featuring Haut-Brion 100RP, La Mission-Haut-Brion 100RP, Lafite 99WS, Mouton 99WS, Margaux 99WS, Latour 97WS, Montrose 96RP, Léoville-Las-Cases 96WS,Pichon-Baron 95RP, Palmer 95RP, Lynch-Bages 95RP, Cantemerle 95WS, and some Yquem 97RP to wash it all down!
