New York City Wine-Fladgate Partnership Port Dinner & Tasting

This February, lovers of port wine have a rare chance to sample a combined heritage spanning three centuries in the oldest demarcated wine region of the world. Kobrand Corporation together with Palm Restaurants is hosting a series of dinners celebrating four of the most historic and highly regarded names in port wine: Taylor Fladgate, Fonseca Guimaraens, Croft, and Delaforce. Each of these renowned port houses is now a member of the British, family-owned Fladgate Partnership in Portugal, and guiding you through their subtleties of structure, balance, and flavor will be Adrian Bridge, Managing Director of the partnership. In an entire evening dedicated to port wine — from reception to dinner to formal tasting — you’ll explore over a quarter century of highly acclaimed ports. They’ll include Taylor Fladgate Vintage ’77 (Wine Spectator rating 98), Delaforce Vintage ’77, Croft Roeda ’83, Fonseca Guimaraens ’84, Fonseca Vintage 2000 (Wine Spectator rating 94), and Taylor Fladgate Vintage 2000 (Wine Spectator rating 95). You’ll also sample the newly released and never before publicly tasted Fonseca Quinta do Panascal 2001 and Taylor Fladgate Quinta de Vargellas 2001. Tickets are $165 and proceeds benefit The V Foundation for Cancer Research.
