Step behind the bar with mixologist Jonathan Pogash as he introduces you to the art of mixing drinks in this laid back, hands-on workshop providing you with the tools to explore what makes a truly great cocktail. An ideal follow-up to Home Bar Basics, or enjoyable on its own, this two hour interactive seminar reveals the tips and techniques which allow the true mixologist to craft original cocktails from nearly any ingredients. After a quick primer on proper bar techniques, current cocktail trends, and the history of some of the world's most famous cocktails, you'll be let loose to craft your own unique libations from a veritable cornucopia of spirits, mixers, fresh fruits, juices, herbs, and spices. Plus, you'll leave with a goodie bag that will make your head spin (were you to drink it all at once...) Note that tickets must be purchased in advance through the Astor Center website.
