Labor Day weekend is upon us, and that means summer is nearly over. Why not celebrate the end of the season with a great concert for a great cause? James Gosper, former winemaker for Green Point winery in Green Point, Australia, moved to Brooklyn last year and fell in love with his new home's namesake neighborhood. Green Point winery is known for being passionate about environmentally friendly viticulture and winemaking, and has partnered with Open Space Alliance in their commitment to preserve and protect Brooklyn by donating the profits from every glass of Green Point wine sold at the show to Open Space Alliance. Don't miss the last event of the summer at McCarren Pool: the Sonic Youth show on Saturday, August 30! Doors open at 4 p.m. This event may be the last ever at this venue, as the property is on schedule to be renovated and re-opened for its original purpose as a swimming pool.
