This class has been designed overwhelming-popular demand from our students.
Americans drink more premium Italian Wine than the Italians do! And us New Yorkers lead the county in swallowing our Vino happily down! Come a learn the amazing differences from the wine from this ancient culture.
As with all of our classes we will focus on the interactive: Games and Competitions to hone your senses and we will culminate in a Blind Tasting to establish the “Best Wine of the Night”. In this class we will introduce you to the top Italian wine producing areas: Tuscany, Piedmonte, Umbria, Sicily, Vento, Puglia, and more surprises.

Instructor Bio: Jennie Thornton-Dean, Wine Educator, Former Chef, and Wine Maker, has traveled all over the world making, tasting, and teaching about wine. Starting as a chef she left the heat of the kitchens of Italy and France 10 years ago to climb into wine caves. In Napa Valley, Jennie worked the vineyards and cellars at Joseph Phelps before moving to London to focus her studies on wines from all over the world. As a both a certified Sommelier and graduate of the rigorous WSET Diploma of Wine, Jennie’s knowledge of fine wines stretches from production to food and wine marriages. Recently Jennie has moved to America’s largest wine city—New York City to begin her Master of Wine studies. She is a sought-after instructor not only for her immense wine-knowledge, but more uniquely for her impassioned, irreverent, and hilarious approach to teaching. |
