For our Spring Wine Weekend we'll be visiting five wineries on Long Island's bucolic North Fork -- three on Saturday and two on Sunday (inlcuding Castello Di Borghese and Raphael and others to be announced). As is customary, on the ride out we'll talk about the region and you'll pick up some tips on wine appreciation. On Saturday afternoon after our third winery visit we're going to board a ferry in Greenport (a historic seaport town) and sail over to beautiful Shelter Island where we'll spend the night at the quaint Olde Country Inn. We'll have a reception there Saturday evening followed by a multi-course dinner (with wine included, needless to say). After a hearty country breakfast on Sunday morning we'll take a brief tour of Shelter Island and then continue on our wine-tasting odyssey. Before we head back to the City we'll also stop at a local farm stand where you can stock up on some fresh produce.
