| A Midsummer's Night Gala- 2008
A Midsummer’s Night – 2008, A Benefit for Napa Valley Hospice & Adult Day Services. Valley art patron and long-time Hospice supporter Margrit Biever Mondavi will serve as the Honorary Chair of its 2008 Gala, “A Midsummer’s Night.” The gala has been scheduled for Saturday, June 2, 20081. The spectacular Castello di Amorosa will once again provide a stunning backdrop for an unforgettable dinner and fabulous live auction beneath the stars—the hallmarks of “A Midsummer’s Night.” In speaking about Hospice, Margrit Mondavi commented, “I have been a Hospice supporter for many years and consider it a privilege to serve as Honorary Chair of “A Midsummer's Night.” The work that Hospice does is vital to our community. It is the best and most compassionate care available, and it’s close to my heart.” Last summer, “A Midsummer’s Night” raised more than $400,000 to support the programs of Hospice and Adult Day Services of Napa County. Programs include compassionate end-of-life care, Alzheimer’s day care, and grief counseling services for adults, as well as for children enrolled in Napa Valley schools. Koerner Rombauer, who served as Honorary Chair for the 2007 gala, also expressed his enthusiasm for this summer’s event, “Hospice could not have found a better successor for me than Margrit Mondavi. We both believe in this organization, because we know the value of the work that Hospice does first hand. As Chair Emeritus for 2008, my goal is to help Margrit double the funds raised for Hospice to $800,000…or higher!” Individual tickets for “A Midsummer’s Night” will be $375 per person. Sponsored tables will also be available. Napa Valley Hospice & Adult Day Services is a community-based, non-profit organization. Programs depend on the generosity of our community to support all residents of Napa County, regardless of their ability to pay. |
